About Paunkovic Art Studio
Paunkovic Art Studio – Our Story
Paunkovic Art Studio was founded by artists Aleksandar and Jelena Paunkovic as a contemporary art studio dedicated to creating meaningful large-scale paintings. From the very beginning, the studio has explored the relationship between humanity and nature.
Over time, however, constant exposure to environmental news led us to reflect more deeply on our role as artists. As a result, one central question emerged:
“Will future generations experience nature only through photographs, the same way we now look at extinct species?”
This reflection became the foundation of our ongoing painting series, “Life.”

The Vision Behind Paunkovic Art Studio
At Paunkovic Art Studio, we examine environmental issues. At the same time, we explore natural balance.
These concerns are then translated into a visual language. Modern production cycles generate enormous amounts of waste; consequently, environmental imbalance has become impossible to ignore.
For example, plastic pollution and electronic waste continue to grow each year. Moreover, clean water resources are becoming increasingly fragile. Because of these realities, we began asking difficult but necessary questions:
Environmental Vision of Paunkovic Art Studio
Because of these realities, we began asking difficult but necessary questions:
When did plastic begin to choke our planet?
Why is clean water becoming less accessible?
How did we allow the earth to become so polluted?
Instead of remaining observers, we decided to change our own way of living. Therefore, we began growing fruits and vegetables and reconnecting with natural cycles.
This personal transformation gradually influenced our artistic language and visual expression.

Large-Scale Contemporary Paintings by Paunkovic Art Studio
The artworks created at Paunkovic Art Studio are predominantly large-format contemporary paintings. Through abstract compositions, botanical elements, and layered textures, we translate environmental concerns into powerful visual narratives.
Because of their scale, the paintings create an immediate physical presence. At the same time, the paintings invite slower observation.
In addition, each artwork includes a video presentation.
For this reason, environmental themes remain central.
As a result, collectors often form a deeper connection with the work.
Ultimately, each artwork is designed not only as a visual object but also as a space for reflection.

Collectors of Paunkovic Art Studio Worldwide
Today, we work with collectors worldwide. Original contemporary paintings and limited edition prints are available directly through our website.
Each artwork includes a video presentation so that collectors can better understand scale, texture, and atmosphere. Furthermore, new drawings and traditional graphic works will soon be introduced.
Through continuous exploration and dialogue, Paunkovic Art Studio remains committed to creating art that encourages awareness, responsibility, and a deeper connection with nature.
International Recognition of Paunkovic Art Studio
An important milestone for Paunkovic Art Studio was the collaboration on the novel Demon Copperhead by Pulitzer Prize–winning author Barbara Kingsolver, published by Faber & Faber.
Our painting NO.4 became part of the cover design. As a result, the international visibility of the studio expanded significantly. This collaboration confirmed that contemporary art can move beyond gallery spaces and enter broader cultural conversations.
